About Jane

Jane Rumbles Coaching

Hi, I am Jane, I am happily married to my very own Mr Fix-It, and even after over 20 years together, he still makes me laugh every day – often at my expense I might add. But to be fair to him, I do give him plenty of reason with my back to front sayings and slightly weird ways.

I am a mum to my two not so little munchkins. My daughter, who I affectionately call Little Miss Tornado (despite being about 7 inches taller than me) because she blows in and out a room like a storm, never stops moving and loves sharing all the crazy little details of her day.
She is not your typical girly girl, no she has been DJ-ing since she was 13 (following in her Dad’s footsteps) and loves nothing more than to be on her skateboard. She is the kindest, most compassionate person I know.

My boy is known in our household as BB. He is the most loving soul, funny, clever and he gives the best squeezy hugs. He has a huge heart, dislikes injustice and stands up for what he believes in. He is obsessed with anything Star Wars and when he is forced off his Xbox he loves going out with friends on his bike.

Simply put they are the joy and light of my life.

About Jane Rumbles

My children are the joy and light to my life

Not all Rainbows and Sunshine

Before I go any further I want to tell you it wasn’t always such happy and peaceful times. As a child I struggled with learning difficulties and severe bullying which led to my own anxiety and later crippling depression as an adult. I spent years trying to manage and overcome it, while I suffered in silence, hiding the worst of it from my loved ones.
Sometimes the strategies I had in place helped, other times, not so much. It was like being a yoyo with lots of ups and downs.

But none of that was as devastating as experiencing the pain of watching my beautiful boy struggle for years with his own anxiety. Every meltdown ripped another piece of my heart out and I would break a little more every time I saw him mentally shut down. I was riddled with guilt and shame not knowing how to help him. So if you are reading this I am going to assume you are possibly experiencing similar struggles.

You are not alone and I understand what you are going through

I knew something had to change. So I went on a mission to learn what I could. I discovered a range of powerful and impactful techniques that we used to transform the way he felt. What I didn’t expect was the positive impact it would have on the whole family. Six months later my son had transformed before my eyes into the happy, confident child he is today. His teachers were shocked and asked what I had done. He had gone from a boy who would never speak out in class to standing giving a presentation in front of his peers.

Blessings in Disguise

What I quickly realised, was that when something worked for me and I started to make positive changes, both my children noticed. This made them both much more interested and open to learning for themselves. It is an ongoing process that we work on daily, knowing we now have the tools and knowledge available means we all continue to learn and grow.

Despite where you are and what you are going through, there is light at the end of the tunnel. It takes commitment and consistency, but it can be done.

Now when life throws my children challenges they have the skills to navigate and manage their thoughts, emotions and outcomes. As for me I have learnt that life’s challenges are blessings in disguise, they help us grow and become more resilient. I am grateful for every single one of my past experiences because they have led me to become a strong, confident woman. If I can learn to do this, so can you! However, I didn’t do this alone. I had help from my coaches and mentors to learn what I needed in order to help both myself and my son and ultimately create a happier calmer family unit.

I guess you could say this is my ripple effect. I want to give back what I have gained and it is why I feel so passionate about sharing what I have learnt with other parents. This journey has inspired me to set up my coaching practice to
help other parents to learn simple tools and easy techniques to help build confidence, connection and a sense of well being for both you and your child. As I have said it does take commitment and consistency to do. But if you are anything like me, I know you would do anything to help your child from suffering further.

Fun Facts

When I am not working and learning, I love nothing more than taking family trips in our old campervan “The Rumbler”. My happy place is by the sea, it is where I feel most connected, calm and inspired.

I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with buying trainers and boots. I am not really a heels kinda gal, having worked as a hairdresser for 25 years put a stop to them. I will take comfort over fashion any day, thank you very much.

I love to dance to get my energy flowing and I can often be found on my yoga mat (wearing a pair of previously mentioned trainers), meditating or writing.

But more often than not you will find me with my head in a book, getting lost in a good story is one of my simple pleasures in life.
